Bethmännchen

To this day, it is unknown who invented these marzipan balls which are named after a Frankfurt family of bankers. But it is certain that, especially during Christmas time, you will not find many bakeries whose display windows are not populated with those little men. You will recognize them by the three almond halves that form the “hat”.
