Eau de Cologne

The term "Eau de Cologne" originates from this city. In the early 18th century, an Italian perfumer named Johann Maria Farina created a fragrance and named it after his new hometown, Cologne. The scent gained popularity and became synonymous with a light, citrus-based perfume.
